
Dr Nico Elema
Director of the Centre for Collaboration in Africa (CCA)
Dr Elema is the Director of the Centre for Collaboration in Africa (CCA) at Stellenbosch University, South Africa, where he manages a team of internationalisation practitioners to create an enabling environment for Stellenbosch University to partner and engage with various partners across the continent. Responsibilities in the centre include the administration of the Africa Collaboration Grant associated with the bilateral partners and the administration of various Intra-Africa mobility programmes. Moreover, the CCA host the secretariats of the AUDA-NEPAD Southern African Network of Water Centres of Excellence (AUDA-NEPAD SANWATCE), the AUDA-NEPAD Centre of Excellence in Science, Technology & Innovation (AUDA-NEPAD CoE in STI), and the Partner Enhancing Resilience for People Exposed to Risks (PERIPERI U). The CCA also support the secretariat of the African Research Universities Alliance CoE in Energy.
Over the years, he has gained extensive experience in the African higher education sector and has been working with various partners on project implementation, project evaluation and multi-lateral partner programmes that focus on thematic fields which include water and sanitation, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Science, Technology & Innovation (STI).
His education includes a Master in Business Administration (MBA) and a PhD in Science and Technology Studies at Stellenbosch University, South Africa.

Originally from Zimbabwe, Dr Moira V Faul is the Executive Director of NORRAG, and Senior Lecturer at the Geneva Graduate Institute. Prior to this post, she was Deputy Director of the Public-Private Partnership Centre at the University of Geneva, as well as holding a Visiting Research Fellowship at the UN Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD). She successfully led a UK Research Councils-funded programme on knowledge exchange between research and policy at the University of Cambridge. She holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and a teaching qualification from the University of Oxford.
She has published widely on education and international cooperation. In addition, she has produced many important studies for international
organizations, including the Global Partnership for Education, the UK government, UNESCO, UNHCR, and ActionAid.

Rebecca Stromeyer

Rebecca Stromeyer is the Managing Director and Founder of ICWE GmbH, which she established in 2001. She is also the co-founder and co-owner of ICEF GmbH which was established in 1991. Rebecca holds dual Australian and German citizenship. She grew up in Kuwait, Lebanon and the UK. She studied Slavonic Studies, Comparative Literature, Business Administration, and Media Studies in Berlin, Moscow, and the UK.
She has launched events on online learning in Madrid, Iceland, Russia, Asia and the Arab world. She advises international organisations and has served on various boards. Her company ICWE provides consulting, benchmarking reports and market research services focused on the global learning and the conference and exhibition sectors.
Since 1988, she has organised conferences and exhibitions focused on ICT4D, digital learning, languages, localization and internationalisation of higher education. These events have taken place across Europe, Latin America, the United States, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean and the Arab World.
She played an instrumental role in the launch, growth and development of ICEF, which she built and led together her father Karl Badde from 1991 until 2002.
She founded eLearning Africa in 2005, the largest networking platform, conference and exhibition on digital learning, training and skills development in Africa. In 2012, she launched the eLearning Africa Report series.
