Presentations at the ADUN III Colloquium

14 Apr 2023

Engage with the two AHEEN presentations at ADUN III 21 April 2023:

1. The role of digital education and sports in strengthening refugees’ social-emotional well-being
2. University students in refugee camps can be successful through contextualised design and support

On 21 April 2023, AHEEN presented two papers at the 3rd African Digital University Network (ADUN III) Colloquium. The theme of the colloquium was Social Justice in African Digital Contexts.
From the ADUN III webpage we read: “As digital technology continues to play an increasingly significant role in education, it is important to consider its impact on social justice in Africa. From the digital divide and its effects on marginalized communities to the use of digital technologies for social activism and advocacy, this colloquium aims to explore the impact of digital technologies on the social justice landscape in Africa. Through presentations, discussions and two workshops, we aim to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Africa in the digital age and to identify ways in which we can work towards greater social justice in African digital contexts.””
The two papers from AHEEN members were very well received and created an important foundation for the colloquium’s theme of social justice in African digital contexts.
